What portable music player do you use?

What do you guys prefer Headsets or the earphones?

I personally use earphones, was thinking of shifting (not sure yet) to headphones after watching 500 Days of Summer.
What about you guys.. you'll think headphones are better or earphones.

Depends on what I'm doing.

On the computer it's usually earphones.

On the stereo, headphones.

I guess I prefer headphones, no distractions.

I've been using earphones for a while now. They are much easier to pack and transport. I'm usually only needing them with my iPod which I only use out and about.

But I'm really considering headphones for next time. They're more comfortable and the sound quality is often better.

I use a handy-down 60GB iPod video, that was given to me after owner was gifted an iTouch, now he has an iPhone, lucky tart! However I can't complain, I love my iPod to bits and after owning it for almost a year I have barely filled up a tenth of it's memory space!

As for headgear, I'm usually listening to it in the car in which case I mostly use one of those endless tapes that plug into headphone jacks and it'll play throughout the car speakers. When I'm going on foot/bike then I use my Sennheiser HD 202 headphones, whose ear parts are detachable and make wonderful make-shift speakers in a jam! =D

Abhor the very existence of earphones, they cause noise bleeding to other people when played even mediocrely loud, they are uncomfortable (for me) to wear, and often times have terrible sound quality (biggest problem is no bass). I'm sure the higher end ones have fewer problems then the issues I mentioned above, but I'm not going to spend tons of money on ear buds when I can purchase nice, high quality headphones.

The one distinctive advantage to earphones, however, are that they are extremely portable and in many cases significantly cheaper then traditional headphones (I keep a pair of stock earphones in my bag just in case). =/

Generally, I would agree with you - however, every now and then, you get a diamond in the rough.

Picked these up for about $11 USD, seriously, folks, best eleven bucks I ever did spend. Great bass, good volume, silent to the rest of the room, and cheap, too. I probably would've paid $35 for these.

Ah, my father has a pair of those. I've used them before and they are much better then most earbuds indeed. Though it feels weird having something shoved that securely in my ear. But they do work.
