If you want to change your musical direction completely, I suggest you could hit post-rock territory by listening to Talk Talk's amazing album Spirit of Eden. OR, if you're feeling adventurous you could opt for the amazing voice of Scott Walker - trying the albums Tilt or Drift.

Wow. The OP is an expansive list.
I'll offer a band that I came across by accident and was so impressed that I bought their most recent album (at that time) the next day. This group will give even more variety to your list.
GREAT BIG SEA - Courage, Patience and Grit
This is a live CD and DVD - they are definitely worth listening to AND watching. They display a smatterring of influences from folk to REM to BonJovi; "Bob" one of the main 3 guys, plays more than a dozen different instruments...GBS is impressive.
