Good to see your singles charts are as pathetic as ours.

i dont listen to mainstream radio because of this reason and the fact its so repeatative, i listen to a 'golden oldies' station (100.1 curtinFM) and one that plays so-called 'un-commercial' songs (Triple jjj)

i have not taken satisfaction in the charts since about 1986, once Kylie minogue and the stock/aitken/waterman produced singles dominated the charts i totally gave up on them, i do look at them to see where my favourite artists stand and the albums ive bought are doing, but thats it...and i dont subscribe to the point of view that having ten #1's in a row makes you a great artist....thats just bollocks!

I listen to our top 40 countdown show (actually only the top 20) and watch the video channels once a week just to stay current. I'm lucky to like 2 or 3 songs that they play.

As far as listening to radio for pleasure, I don't do too much of that because I don't have much radio choice due to where I live. Not really much choice. We do have a classic rock station which I tune to occasionaly. NPR/PBS is the only station I can tune to, to listen to anything decent as far as new music. My problem there as with most radio, is most of the time they never tell you what they are playing which really pisses me off.
