Personally I don't think Syd was as great as everyone makes out. He had the basic idea but couldn't follow through and his solo albums are a shambles. Pink Floyd only really came alive once he left. Or was left out.

Or was left out. good call Jerome, i suspect you are correct, as you said, he had the 'concept' of what he wanted but could translate it. much of the same could be said of the Beach Boys also, i think they had a concept for and after "pet sounds" but they couldnt do it either. ...on the other hand though, four insects from a pissy crappy town from the morth of England had a concept and ideas, and they managed to achieve what they aimed for....their name alludes me at the moment though

Message for snm. Your nerve endings are covered with a film of organic (can't remember the name) material which acts as insulation against all the electrical impulses floating around. Taking acid in large quantities erodes this film and eventually your body starts short-circuiting and you cannot function properly because the brain is receiving mixed messages. Went to a party many moons ago and this one guy was standing in the shallow end of a swimming pool, fully clothed, 'playing' an electric guitar (obviously not plugged in!) completely spaced on acid. Today he can't tie his own shoes or string a sentence together. Acid screws up your life!!!
