Couldn't find anything on his synthesized sax--anybody got a clue? Also look into that multi-instrumentalist Rahsaan Roland Kirk--amazing player AND inventor (strich, manzello, etc.)
I'd hardly call the female in SteveO's clip a "girl"--at 14, she's probably had menarche. Amazing talent--YouTube's got many examples of prodigies but she has real talent, real control.
BTW, one of the sidebars had "Battle of the world's best female drummers". I was long ago disabused of the notion that drummers aren't musicians, merely timekeepers...or that women should be confined to singing or "polite" instruments--how about you? This Thread overall is wonderful--that which I didn't like, I at least learned from. A kudos to everyone contributing. BTW, when SteveO mentioned the Killers, I thought he'd added an "s" to this guy's nickname: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AO7QRpvp9FU << age 50 here and still generating the excitement of years before.
