"Goat" from Railroad Earth's The Good Life. They are usually referred to as a jam band which seems to imply that they are less than a 'real' band, or something - I don't understand the terminology, especially since they've recorded a number of albums and are accomplished musicians; their songs are great - they write solid lyrics and tell good stories all delivered in a somewhat laconic style, but that's the nature of what they do - laidback, no big fuss. Todd Sheaffer has a fairly distinctive almost careworn kinda voice, the strings are fabulous - bluegrass/newgrass/Americana - some say country but I'm sure MH wouldn't

^^
I took the bait not country in my traditional sense but based on that track, country is the forum I would place it in like the music but not so much on the vocalist

^^Thanks for listening.
I've grown quite accustomed to that voice and don't mind it at all. May yet become a country convert then ... sort of, lol!

another great Nelson/sons album...
listen and close your eyes and notice how similar his son sounds like a young Willie:
