one of rock music's greatest six or seven minutes:
like Born In The USA its lyrics are grossly misrepresented by the majority!
"BTO....Bachman,Turner,Overweight
They were big in the 70s....for five minutes,on a Saturday,after lunch..." - Me 2014.

Interesting. How do the majority misrepresent them?

Born In The USA, a song about the injustices dealt out to returning Vets from Nam, most people hear the chorus line and fist pump the air as a pro-American flag waving anthem, this is why Springsteen rarely plays it live
full meaning of song here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Born_in_th...ng)#Themes
Sweet Home Alabama, its actually a shot at those who stereotype 'southerners' as redneck klansmen ala Neil Young on "alabama" track
second verse is anti pro-segregation Governer

my favourite Human League song:

They were big in the 70s....for five minutes,on a Saturday,after lunch..." - Me 2014.

I often have to wrack my brain to figure out which category a clip I want to post belongs to.
This little song I suspect would originally have been called blues of some kind but in this version, I don’t know.
Maybe a thread that gives examples of a wide range of styles and categorises them would help ignoramuses like me?

Like where would you place this little gem?
( I have to suppress and urge to get political over this clip - this isn't the place for throwing bricks into the US conservative wasps’ nest)
