The Track I'm Listening To Is.......................
i just had to go back to play The Specials version of Toot's "monkey man".
saw the Specials at a festival four, maybe five years ago awesome energetic performance IMO.

so, 1982, the three singers from the Specials quit to form a shotrlived Fun Boy Three,
had a few hits in the UK, two with a new young trio called Bananarama, and most noteably this one.
a lot of people would say what has changed between 82 and now...

I see a clinic full of cynics
Who want to twist the peoples' wrist
They're watching every move we make
We're all included on the list

The lunatics have taken over the asylum
The lunatics have taken over the asylum

No nuclear the cowboy told us
And who am I to disagree
'Cause when the madman flips the switch
The nuclear will go for me

The lunatics have taken over the asylum
The lunatics have taken over the asylum

I've seen the faces of starvation
But I just can not see the points
'Cause there's so much food here today
That no one wants to take away

The lunatics have taken over the asylum
The lunatics have taken over the asylum  (repeat x4)

one of my all time favourite tracks by Wings,
rarely gets airplay yet was a huge hit back in 1979 and also one that is often overlooked and forgotten.

when youve been found guilty of musical plagarism even if unintentional this is the best way to respond with a tongue-in-cheek response in lyric and video.

This song has nothing tricky about it
This song ain't black or white and as far as I know
Don't infringe on anyone's copyright, so.....

This song, we'll let be
This song is in E
This song is for you and.....

This tune has nothing bright about it
This tune ain't bad or good and come ever what may
My expert tells me it's okay!

As this song came to me
Unknowingly
This song could be you could be, ooh....

This riff ain't trying to win gold medals
This riff ain't hip or square, well-done or rare
May end up one more weight to bear!

But this song could well be
A reason to see
That without you there's no point to this song
Ooh, ooh.....

But this song could well be
A reason to see
That without you there's no point to this song

played numerous randon tracks this morning
the two standouts for me were:

my ideal woman:  (1) Poor poor pitiful me - Linda Ronstadt - live 1980 - YouTube

and this raunchy blues rocker:  (1) The Rolling Stones - Tumbling Dice | Montreux (1972) - YouTube
