Mark Knopfler for me for sure....
the Sleeping With Sirens has been mentioned a few times on the entertainment segments of the News shows this week...im curious,
so i'll probably listen to it to see what all the fuss is about
im not a fan of Jessica Lea, and not sure an Avett can do it on his own, so im a bit iffy about this one...if MH hears it and thinks its ok
i will listen to it

Mr. Knopfler's newest Tracker is a grand-prize winner--the only 3-star called it a snooze-fest but then the other reviews were stellar (one even included an written interview with him--worth your time to read).

Sleeping With Sirens....ive not actually heard any of their material, just the media hype that has surrounded their album out here this week pricked up my senses to maybe take a listen,
after reading your link, i think i may check out their other releases first so i have some basic basis to pass my personal judgement on the new one when i get round to it.

Bee Gees' compilation....those guys are always good value for money even if the tracks have all been previously released
Boz Scaggs.....not a big fan but i have a healthy respect for this guy
Death Cab For Cutie.....again, not a big fan, but im always curious with their albums
Hawkwind.....i cant remember where i know their name from, but this one interests me because i know but dont know them
Ringo Starr....i have liked some of his solo material and there is occasionally a very good track on his studio albums, so i generally look out for his new releases for that fact
Smokie....another compilation, these guys always put out good compilations with a decade of very good material in their back catalogue
Van Morrison...was never a huge fan and i dont like "duet" albums as a rule, but he always intrigues me

Likewise. I think the best things he's done are the All Starr bands and tours, bringing classic rockers together to do their material, and his and the Beatles. Quite fun. A total hoot for all concerned. There's a big number of them, going back to VHS days--look for those that have your fave supporting musicians.
