MH and I made it to Viera,Florida, MH remembered his daughter lived somewhere near the local zoo, but couldnt quite remember the street name...we ended up just a couple of streets away from their place at just after lunchtime on the saturday, MH made a quick phonecall on his cell phone and his daughter thought he was playing a prank on her by saying he was in the area LOLtook a while to convince her it was true...LOL.
anyway, finally made it to their home and we were both welcomed into their home and were offered a place to sleep for as long as we both wanted to....we settled in for the afternoon and were treated to a meal at an alfrseco cafe/bar that evening.
Major Tim, who works for the USAF at Cape Canaveral offered to give me a tour of the facility and NASA on the sunday if he could swing it....which he did, unfortunately, as the tour took me to a few non tourist tour places i was asked not to make any photos i took to be made available on the internet....fair enough, i can respect that, but let me say that i saw things that a lot of NASA employees do not get the chance to see firsthand including the site where the Challenger debris has been buried, several disused launchpads and the launchpad that was getting ready for the Mars probe that was to be launched in September 2011...!
there are also a lot of canals around Cape Canaveral so we drove around them, and i saw my first alligator in the wild..
no zoom was used in this photo of a gator, it was only a few yards from me when i took this.
pretty much spent the next day and a half relaxing after travelling/driving some 3,000 miles(4,500kms) in around 12-14 days. with all the tiredness and stress associated with it, it was time MH and myself discussed the option of recruiting another solo act for our "tour"....the logical example was a young talented artist from the area...a quick phonecall later and the scene was set for a temporary member 'featured' guest in the form of TraceNspace.
with contracts drawn up for a one off performance and all conditions met in full...the duo became a trio for an afternoon of coffee on Merritt Island....
over the next few days MH/myself and chauffeur Tara visited a great little vinyl record shop...seriously, you could spend a week in that place and still not look at all the album on offer(both second hand and new), we also went to the local zoo where we actually saw some Australian animals, and numerous other US species including the majestic Bald Eagle and several species of Vultures.

Crazy-Horse and Tara at the zoo
on our final full day enjoying the great hospitallity of Major Tim and family, Tara took both MH and myself to a little place to have lunch by the Atlantic Ocean....strange, but the Atlantic looks exactly like the Indian Ocean!
MH enjoyed a huge meal of burgers and fries for lunch here and i had fish taco's as recommended by Major Tim...very nice indeed!
afer a fine meal of BBQ Ribs for dinner that night, MH needed a good sleep prior to our drive home, after a week in Florida, not a direct route back to Kentucky but a scenic one through Sth/Nth Carolinas, Georgia, West Virginia and Virginia through the Appalachean Ranges,Virginian/Kentucky coalmine areas, the Daniel Boone National Park and back to Hotel Paint Lick.....the sage continues!
