i am gutted even though with each passing year it is expected more and more...
my favourite female country singer...
IMO there should be a 'day of mourning' in Kentucky for her funeral.
her signature tune:
"BTO....Bachman,Turner,Overweight
They were big in the 70s....for five minutes,on a Saturday,after lunch..." - Me 2014.

It's a sad year for the state of Kentucky. First, Naomi Judd and now another female country music legend.
God bless you and the Judd and Lynn family always!!!

JERRY LEE LEWIS
aged: 87
cause: natural causes.
after false reports of his death earlier in the week his publicist has confirmed his death.
one of the early rock and rollers from the iconic Sun Records label and 'the last man standing' of the original pioneers.
his life was more controversial than all of his peers.
more famous for marrying his 13 year old cousin in 1958 which singlehandedly stonewalled his career.
married seven times with two of his wives dying in mysterious circumstances.
he fired shots outside of Graceland in the early 1970s proclaiming that he was the true 'king of rock'.
and his famous cousin was controversial evangelist Jimmy Swaggart.
all of that said, he was there at the beginning of rock and roll and part of the group dubbed "the class of '55" and he did record some of the most iconic and important songs of the era but i prefer his country music of the 1970s.
as a tribute:
"BTO....Bachman,Turner,Overweight
They were big in the 70s....for five minutes,on a Saturday,after lunch..." - Me 2014.

Another country music legend has gone forward: Jeff Cook of the band named Alabama. He was 73 and was said to have had the Parkinson's Disease sickness.
God bless you and his family and the remaining members of the act always!!!
Holly
P.S. Jeff was always the one who played the fiddle in their music.
