Hey Crazy,
Thanks for the quick reponse. I think Canada (Consort, Alberta - home of KD) is for the most part influenced obviously by American artists. Our population is about 40 million and it is a very large country in land mass but sparsely populated outside of our major cities. Our population is very diversified also but IN MY OPINION!(please note imo) I do not believe that we as Canadians support local talent first for the most part. Our shared CANUS border opens up a large exposure to American culture musically speaking.
I also noted that Australia and Canada do exceptionally well in the Olympics ! Something to be admired since both Commonwealth nations are relatively small in population.
Again very interesting to talk with you.
(hope you get your car fixed ! )

Hey Crazy,
I couldn't have said it better myself. Well done, mate !
That's the reason I quit the other MD site ! People bashing each other's musical preferences. That's why I have to say IMO a lot. It didn't matter at the other Music site. The criticisms still came back. I'm not really a huge fan of "BEST" lists or polls. To each his own.
You can learn a lot from other people's music interests you know. If they mention an artist that you are not familiar with then go check them out and you might be surprised.

^ Steve, don't worry about IMOing too much, no-one here gets their arse in a sling over differences of opinion.
Which other site did you use before, just out of interest. I want to take a peek.

Tiggi,
Amazon and they'd kick you off if you didn't buy anything in the last 30 days ! I think I railed on and on in a previous post on MD. Man they would go on and on and on on one topic. Some of them were music snobs and musicologists they knew it all what was good and what was bad. Kinks were better than the Beatles, they'd be nothing without George Martin, etc..
