Pink Floyd Best Album Poll - 2 of 2

[FrankieLee]

The Dark Side Of The Moon, although I really like Atom Heart Mother.

[Totally Wired]

Tough but Animals over Wish You Were Here and The Division Bell.

[Jerome]

Incidentally both Gilmour and Wright perceive WYWH to be their greatest musical achievement while with the Floyd.

[SteveO]

I don't know why but I find I listen to Animals a lot!

[Jerome]

A great album - slightly 'heavier' than their other material so maybe that's why it appeals to a metal head LOL!

[Jerome]

Nobody seems to like The Final Cut, but I think it is absolutely brilliant - lyrics are especially good and the orchestration is superb.

'In derelict siding's the poppies entwine
With cattle trucks lying in wait for the next time'

The imagery contained in the lyrics is incredibly powerful - real thought-provoking stuff.

As Santayana once said - 'those who do not remember the past are condemned to relive it'

That's what The Final Cut is really saying. And of course, no-one is listening. It's already starting all over again in Europe - just a matter of time.

[Big Ears]

Dark Side of the Moon, although Meddle (not on the list) comes close.

[Crudivore]

It's a hard decision. Maybe, technically, Dark Side of the Moon is their best, but not for me. Wish You Were Here speaks to me on a different level and just edges it. DSOTM 2nd and The Wall in 3rd.

[Mr.Smolski]

another side of the moon, of course
the wall in my room

Wish You Were Here
