FANTASTIC album covers

CRAZY-HORSE Wrote:I always thought of Bowie as more of a singles artist than an albums artist but yes...
Scary Monsters is one of best albums IMO also
I still prefer 1979's "lodger" though, and 2013's "the next day" is bloody good also.

Bowie is such a rare talent that I actually think of him as both. I can have just as much enjoyment listening to a Bowie album as I can listening to a Bowie Greatest Hits collection (and I cannot say that about most artists)! My personal favorite albums of his are Station to Station, Low, and Scary Monsters, but it's also safe to say I would happily listen to any album he made between the late 60's and, say, 1980, with some occasional good songs after that.

I agree - a great cover, but the music is hideous. More of that growling nonsense.

If you know anything about this band, you will realise that as well as being a visually intriguing cover, it also says a lot about the band itself. Their "roots" are in death metal, rendered here as resembling hell - while their later music is much gentler, almost pastoral, and has none of the growl vocals that characterised their earlier albums.

I could stare at this one for hours:

At first you may not notice that some of the players are nude.
