im actually surprised the likes of Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Fats Domino, Jerry Lee Lewis are still around, all in their mid to late 80s now I guess.

And this is because I have the album â the very nice piano on this track is by Mr Russell (George Harrison popping up on slide); with the exception of Joey Molland, these guys have gone too. It's all a bit depressing â¦

Sad news indeed. Another great artist whose voice has been stilled. I am a huge fan of Leon Russell. I would highly recommend most of his albums. Everyone should check out 1972's "Leon Russell And The Shelter People", A Fantastic LP. Also try The Albums he did when he was with Marc Benno under the group name "The Asylum Choir", and if you feel like going real deep, and want to hear him in his Country Mode, listen to the two LPs he did under the name "Hank Wilson".

Rest peacefully Brother Leon...loved Leon in the seventies. Mad Dogs and Englishman double live with Joe Cocker! Leon was a good songwriter indeed...this shows a performance of great songwriting, piano playing and a distinctive voice!
