Saw them at Wembley Arena a couple of weeks ago and they were amazing. Best ever indoor gig for audience participation and stage sets. Would be interested to know how big they are in the U.S. and what you guys from across the pond think of them.

Another one I never heard of that shows up as a pearl. Love it when I stumble across these. Founded in 2006 by Frames frontman Glen Hansard and Czech songstress Marketa Irglova. The name comes from a novel by a Czech writer. This is their sophmore effort. They were romantically involved for a time. That ended, but the good music survives for now. A lot of these clips are live with just acoustic guitar, which is good from the standpoint of seeing the artist, but I think the studio versions are much better, but you take what you can get.

Debut from Arizona high school band formed in 2007 by brothers John and Stephen Gomez claiming Jimmy Eat World as influence. Not too bad considering the experience. Not much depth lyrically, with sex being the primary topic, but we are talking teenage boys here.

Been sittin' on my computer for a couple of weeks calling me. Moved it over to the mp3 today to give a listen. Not as impressed as I was with their latest one, I And Love And You, but still good stuff. Could use a little more rhythm on some tracks. I do like the sparseness of instruments and love that stand up bass and cello. Lyrically this is just as sharp. Clip for track #5 was shot on the tour bus and talk about cramped. Surprised it didn't tip over. Funny stuff. Don't see where this album ever even charted. Too bad.

These San Francisco guys were riding the wave for a brief time back in the early 00's then just faded away. Well, they are back with a very nice set here with their 5th release. They did take 4 years to make this, so all that rest should produce some results. Lead singer Patrick Monahan was also doing some solo work along the way. This one, already at #17 on the charts being out only a short time, with the single of Hey Soul Sister.
