Hi

I can tell you a few things about Hot Chocolate...............They were discovered by John Lennon and signed to Apple records in 1969 initially as The Hot Chocolate Band. There were an interesting band because they crossed the race barriers which in those days was a very difficult issue. There early music had a passing influence of Reggae but this faded with time. There were unusual in that for many years they concentrated on making only singles ........only in their mid career did they release an album and then they were not very comfortable with the idea . As far as I know their career ran from 1969 until 1983/4. Confusedmile:

Interseting to find a thread about these here . Though not a big time fan of them they did do some I like . "Started With A Kiss ." "Girl Crazy." "I Gave You My Heart [Didn't I ?]" As for "You Sexy Thing" That one never did anything for me . It was done by a group called "Clock" as I remember . That too I never went anything on . However there was one version I really like . It was done in 1997 by a femail duo by then name of "T Shirt" It was a club dance version . Sadly , and surprisingly the best it did here in the UK was one week at No.63 . Not a number one perhaps , but to listen to it I would have thought it would have done better than that . If it was posible to put music fils on this site I would put it on . Cool

not too bad. Sounds like they are still using the Hot Chocolate vocals in the chorus.

Funny you should mention that . Despite being a femail duo , obvious it is quite clear that it does contain mail vocal . Anybody can hear that . However until you come to mention it , never given it a thought that it is actually Hot Chocolate . But I reckon you are right . And despite having the single , and seeing the two girls , never seen the vidio up until now . Is that the matty out of Hot Chocolate you see right at the very end do you think ?
Though I don't think it did , when I get a minute I'll dig the single out and see if it says anything about Hot Chocolate in it

Further to my last post . Just had a look on the CD single , no mention of Hot Chocolate being on it . But it seems a certain case they are . So one could say that it is both a cover and a remix . In passing , forgoton the sir name , it said writen by Errol - [Brown I think] One of Hot Chocolate ? Not high up on them so I don't know

I can't stand Hot Chocolate. Some of the most irritating and seedy music ever, especially 'Sexy Thing'.
