Not the best for me but still a nice album. At least he has dropped the covers that were on earlier albums. This one is all Ferry material. His most successful album, reaching #1 in the U.K. and #63 on the U.S. charts with the single of Slave To Love going to #19. Some excellent live clips here. And a bonus of David Gilmour and Mark Knopfler. Iggy & The Stooges - Metallic KO

The story goes like this: The Stooges final gig (prior to recent reformation) from '74. During a previous gig, Iggy had been pelted with eggs by members of a local biker gang, and had stopped the show to confront the chief egg hurler. He was a man mountain who promptly knocked the Iggster out cold. Following this, the bikers had threatened to kill Iggy if he played at the gig recorded here. Artist / audience hostility ensues during the gig with the band getting pelted with all manner of projectiles, and Iggy continuing to bait the audience throughout. Only the last few tracks were actually recorded at the last show, and it's a poor quality audience recording. Despite this, it's a good album, and the closer Louie Louie is a cracking version...

This is the first full album I have heard. I do give it a thumbs up, but I'm not sure it lives up to the hype. This is his fourth studio effort with some live ones thrown in there. I did see a live concert thing on one of the music channels and the guy is an awesome guitar player. With the blues crowd he's been hanging with, he is picking up some nice experience. I think he's gonna be around awhile. The cover of Claptons Crossroads is a tribute I guess, and he does it justice, but again, stay away from the classics. Who Says must be the single, since I'm seeing it everywhere. Love the message even though it's not my fav.
