BLACK SABBATH "black sabbath" cd, 1970
their debut album, I own the first four and Ozzy first solo album
often regarded as the 'first metal' album
I dont have an issue with that statement
very, very solid album which doesn't sound dated at all
I LOVE THIS ALBUM
the title track:
"BTO....Bachman,Turner,Overweight
They were big in the 70s....for five minutes,on a Saturday,after lunch..." - Me 2014.

BLACK SABBATH "paranoid" cd, 1970
their second
musically, a lot heavier than their debut
my least likeable of the four I own
but still passable
favourite:
"BTO....Bachman,Turner,Overweight
They were big in the 70s....for five minutes,on a Saturday,after lunch..." - Me 2014.

BLACK SABBATH "master of reality" cd, 1971
their third
not as heavy/loud as Paranoid
love just about everything on here and those I don't love I really like
great album, on par with their debut for me
as a matter of trivia it was their only American top10 album until 2013's "13"
favourite track, the folky "solitude"
"BTO....Bachman,Turner,Overweight
They were big in the 70s....for five minutes,on a Saturday,after lunch..." - Me 2014.

OZZY OSBOURNE "blizzard of ozz" cd, 1980
thought i'd have a break from Sabbath...
Ozzy's debut solo set, the only one I own
two ex members tried to sue Osbourne over unpaid royalties so Ozzy erased their parts
and had them re-recorded so he didn't have to pay them...what an asshole!
so copies printed after 2002 are the new remasters not the album as originally released.
not a bad album, a couple I love on it (both slower ballads), like most of the rest and dislike
a couple of tracks.
his biggest selling album in the US
I LIKE THIS ALBUM
favourite: cool live clip

BLACK SABBATH "Vol-4" cd 1972
their fourth.
my fourth and final
another fantastic collection of early metal
two instrumentals on this one but they don't detract from the album
pure class again from the band
not sure why I didn't get anymore of their albums as theres nothing wrong
at all with this band, especially the Ozzy years
I LOVE THIS ALBUM
best track for me is another ballad, and a piano ballad of all things!
"BTO....Bachman,Turner,Overweight
They were big in the 70s....for five minutes,on a Saturday,after lunch..." - Me 2014.

OZZY OSBOURNE "the essential...." cd, 2003
double set
thirty tracks in total
first disk covers the 1980s solo period
the second disk covers 1990 and beyond.
love the first disk, second one is pretty blah.
sounds like a metal parody on that second disk.
overall, I LIKE THIS ALBUM

SLASH featuring MYLES KENNEDY & THE CONSPIRATORS "apocalyptic love" cd, 2012
the ex-G'n'R guitarist's second solo album.
pulls in Myles and his band to supply vocals and instrumentation.
vocally and musically has G'n'R written all over it
I LIKE THIS ALBUM
lead off single:
"BTO....Bachman,Turner,Overweight
They were big in the 70s....for five minutes,on a Saturday,after lunch..." - Me 2014.

JUDAS PRIEST "ram it down" cd, 1988
UK hard rock band
eleventh studio set (one of three i own).
harder edge to it than the usual 80s hard rock sounds
only one track on here I dont like, a cover of Johnny B Goode
other than that one blemish its a good album of ear shattering rock and roll
I LIKE THIS ALBUM
the single:
"BTO....Bachman,Turner,Overweight
They were big in the 70s....for five minutes,on a Saturday,after lunch..." - Me 2014.
