I don't think surrealism really had any music associated with it... Unlike dada, futurism, the general avant-garde, etc.

Sure, surrealist artists in general neglected music as a form of art.

It's hardly surprising I would have thought , surrealism must be much easier to represent in a visual medium as it's easy to play about with the 'real' - music isn't 'real' in that sense so it it must be much more difficult to invoke surrealism.
