his thirty-nineth studio album.
well, that was a pleasant listen
a lot better than the three covers albums he's released of late.
first album of new material in almost a decade (since "tempest", 2012)
his voice is gravelly but it fits, he sounds almost tuneful at times LOL.
music ranges from strings/orchestral to piano, and hints of jazzy blues.
lyrically, he's still got "it" and I don't mean a killer clown...

so my mum finally got round to listening to the album
her favourite track is the same as mine
she says it one of the most beautiful songs she has ever heard....and to be honest, I agree with her!

setting those high expectations again
gets me every time
best thing for me on here was Murder Most Foul
decided it must be the piano and violin backing
lyrically the album stands out as expected
has to be the music or lack thereof
