Yes it does appear that the infection rate is slowing. Vaccines are kicking in. First good news we've had in a long time. Infection rates in Ireland have fallen by almost 50%. 'Daylight Again'. Long may it last.

if the scientists are correct (and i have no reason not to believe them) then the new UK variant is predicted to be more contagious and deadly than the original/current strain! https://www.msn.com/en-au/health/medical...d=msedgdhp one of our major airlines has predicted that flights will not return to normal on a global scale until at least 2025. Argentina tops 2 million cases and... Netherlands (Holland) tops 1 million cases meanwhile Australia has around 29,000 cases since the virus started and New Zealand has recorded less than 2,500 in the same timeframe.

thats around 72hrs since the last million was recorded. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ a couple of reasons for this i suspect: 1: the vaccines are now underway 2: countries are now following Australia/New Zealand's lead in quarantining incoming persons 3. more countries now taking the virus seriously and promoting the use of masks/sanitizer etc etc.... +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ in other Covid news: North Korea 'tried to hack' Pfizer to get access to the vaccine. i find that strange they would do that because there has apparently never been a one case of Covid-19 in Nth Korea (if you believe the propaganda from Rocketman!) https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/nor...r-BB1dK5Bt

India has officially recorded 11,000,000 case,
Brasil 10,000,000 both still a long way behind the gold medalists, USA, with 28.7 million confirmed cases. the good news is that America is recording 50% less daily cases than it did at the beginning of January.
