At the moment I am listen to an album which I have admired for many years it is called Wally by Wally

SIDE ONE

  1. "The Martyr"
  2. "I Just Wanna Be A Cowboy"
  3. "What To Do"
SIDE TWO

  1. "Sunday Walking Lady"
  2. "To The Urban Man"
  3. "Your Own Way"
This short lived band came from Harrogate in Yorkshire England .
They were discovered by Bob Harris who is famously the host of "The Old Gray Whistle Test" on BBC TV and Bob, still has his own Radio show today on the BBC
They were signed to Atlantic records and produced this excellent debut album.
They are rock band augmented by a violin player and a Baroque keyboard player. This gives them a really interesting sound, coupled with an excellent vocal blend and an tenancy to write songs with unusual themes. THis makes them an interesting listen.........................
Sadly Wally are unsung heroes.................The CD copy I have is personally mastered from a vinyl copy and extensive research has found that this was only issued on CD in Japan by Atlantic . However I notice that on the HMV ( Japan site ) is is available again issued by another company

Best tracks I Just Wanna Be A Cowboy and Sunday Walking Lady :hand:
Nice to be able to go back to trust and friendship!!!!!!!!!

It's a mixed up sensation this being alive
Oh! it wears a man down into the ground
It's the strangest elation
I can't describe it
Oh it leaves a man weary
It makes a man frown.

Boston band arrived on the scene of the new wave movement with this debut and was one of the most successful bands of the genre. Founders Ocasek and Orr met in Columbus Ohio and after performing locally for a few years, decided Boston was the the place to be. The remaining members came on board and 1976 was the founding year of the group. The first three tracks on this album are standouts for me and all 3 were released as singles with the album reaching #18. The band only lasted for 6 albums, with only the last one failing commercially. Guess they saw the end at the right time and called it quits. Lovin' all these live clips here.

I LIKE THIS ALBUM

Worst Track - Don't Cha Stop

Best Track - Good Times Roll

let the good times roll
let them knock you around
let the good times roll
let them make you a clown
let them leave you up in the air
let them brush your rock and roll hair
let the good times roll
let the good times roll
let the good times roll
let the stories be told
they can say what they want
let the photos be old
let them show what they want
let them leave you up in the air
let them brush your rock and roll hair
let the good times roll
let the good times roll-oll
won't you let the good times roll
good times roll
if the illusion is real
let them give you a ride
if they got thunder appeal
let them be on your side
let them leave you up in the air
let them brush your rock and roll hair
let the good times roll
won't you let the good times roll-oll
let the good times roll
let the good times roll
won't you let the good times roll
well let the good times roll
let 'em roll (good times roll)
let the good times roll
oo let the good times roll
oo let the good times roll
let 'em roll (good times roll)
well, let the good times roll
(let the good times roll)

good times roll
(let the good times roll)
let the good times roll
let 'em roll
