that Funkadelic song was a live staple of Paul Weller's Style Council in the mid 1980s (along with Marvin's "grapevine") and now for Bob's version of Bryan's "lets stick together"

Elvis Blue - he won South African Idols in 2010 and proceeded to share half his winnings with the runner up. He continues to walk his talk which is quite remarkable. I'm not a fan per se, but his air of authenticity has stayed with me. In fact, he's the only one I remember, of all the competition winners over the years! From his album of covers of some of his alltime favourite songs (plus a couple of originals) - it's a shame the last verse was left out, but he sings with feeling, I think.
