Musical Deaths 2025

^^Not an Ozzy fan at all, for various reasons, but R.I.P.

George Kooymans has left the building. He was diagnosed with Motor Neuron Disease four years ago - a perfectly awful affliction and incurable. That's a terrible way to go - makes me sad. Founder, guitarist and vocalist - Golden Earring. The obvious tribute ...

And another one gone on July 22nd - not a good date it seems! Chuck Mangione - aged 84 - natural causes. Who by Fire indeed? Trumpeter and flugelhorn player - jazz and smooth jazz. He was a highly regarded musician as well as composer (some impressive soundtracks) and sometime actor. He has literally hundreds of credits to his name.

Rick Davies, of Supertramp has joined the great gig in the sky. He was 81 and had been battling cancer for some time. A sad day indeed ... a brilliant musician -
