I like comedy records and over the years there have been many. I'd like to find some new ones ...........................To start the ball rolling here is classic

Nice to be able to go back to trust and friendship!!!!!!!!!
It's a mixed up sensation this being alive
Oh! it wears a man down into the ground
It's the strangest elation
I can't describe it
Oh it leaves a man weary
It makes a man frown..............................Chris Simpson ( "Mixed Up Sensations" 1975 Martin's Cafe )

The only person who immediately comes to mind is Tim Minchin - whose act is basically comic songs.
This is the first song I heard of his, I think and it made me laugh

That's the thing with comedy songs/albums. They make you laugh the first time, and that's about it.

My favourites tend to come from those crazy Monty Python boys.
- Lumberjack Song
- Always Look on The Bright Side of Life
- Bruce's Philosophers Song
- Sit on my Face
The last was a feature of my one and only static line parachute jump, as I sang it at the top of my lungs during my descent.

Not sure if this really counts but I think this is worth a mention
From the 1979 album '1' by the Hybrid Kids (aka Morgan Fisher of Mott The Hoople, British Lyons and The UK Nirvana !!)
This was from an album which intended to look at cover versions in a new and original way .........Partick Campbell-Lyons is one of the great eccentrics of British Popular music ( A bit like Vivian Stanshall ( Master of ceromonies on Tubular Bells and frontman for The Bonzo Dog Band!)
What would Cathy have made of this Heathcliff ?????????????

Peter Sellers cover of A Hard Day's Night ..in the style of Laurence Olivier's interpretation of Richard III
Ringo and Peter were great friends and The Beatles defiantly approved of this one !

That brings to mind those William Shatner recordings which are great comedy for me.
