Finally, some new metal I can sink my teeth in. I knew I could count on these guys. After 17 albums they've still got that killer sound. Haven't really heard them since Eye II Eye, but nothings changed. Some may think that's a bad thing, but not me. Together for 45 years, they are calling this the finale, after the supporting tour of course. And you can always change your mind. But if that gets the fans out for the last time, hey, whatever works. One standout track and one throw away here for me, and mostly just kick ass rock 'n' roll, and a very nice power ballad.

I can't stop listening to them!
They are a female-fronted rock band that is amazing! They fuze everything from metal to polka with a bit of pop all together into each song. Unlike anything I've heard before. You really should check them out! They are located in Ohio but are trying to start touring. Super nice people. Go listen to the Phantods! :biggrin:

Fourth album from the New Jersey band formed in 1997 consisting of guitarist Ben Weinman, bassist Liam Wilson, vocalist Greg Puciato, guitarist Jeff Tuttle and drummer Billy Rymer. The band has started their own label for this release, after disputes with Relapse Records over the handling of the prior release. This is called mathcore, and I confess, I have no idea what that means. Even after I read what that means, I have no idea what that means. I do understand math, as in 2+2 and all that, but my small brain has trouble with the equation to music. I do get the timing thing, so I guess transferring that, there can be mathpop and mathcountry and maybe even mathclassical. You hardcore metal guys can have this, but I do like the start of Widower.

This is Guns 'n' Roses without Axl, with the rest of the members showing up here. A whole slew of featured artists on the vocals, notably Iggy Pop, Ozzy Osbourne, Ian Astbury, Fergie, Chris Cornell and Kid Rock. Only one on more than one track is Myles Kennedy who will handle vocals on the upcoming tour. The Cornell, Iggy and Fergie tracks were ok for me and one with Rocco DeLuca, whoever that is. Other than that, a waste. Some good guitar playing of course, but the songs are sub-par. By The Sword is the first single.
