The Broken Family Band - Hello Love

First heard of this lot when they were a support band at a gig by UK indie band Athlete.

Pretty competent album, until you reach the last 4 or 5 songs, when it becomes decidedly excellent.

Bat For Lashes - Fur & Gold

Another recently-seen support band, this time with Radiohead. An alternative 21st century Kate Bush is the best description I can think of.

Cut Copy - Hearts on Fire from In Ghost Colours [Modular Recordings, 2008]
Quote:So this is an album that takes New Order-esque pop and adds elements of electro house, indie and 90s techno-pop. ...excellent song writing and the midas touch of DFA's Tim Goldsworthy. This is a superbly crafted pop album which is well paced, cohesive and full of catchy hooks...
