How cool is that? Not very imo. Oh well, new to me. Had heard the group before, probably listening to BBC, but not an entire album. Brit band formed in 2005 with their debut full length album. Prduced by Jim Abbiss who previously worked with the Arctic Monkeys (another band overlooked in the states). The album most reminds me of Vampire Weekend, I suppose, but you can certainly hear some Monkeys. They must have given us some bonus tracks here, as allmusic only lists 12 tracks, whereas what I listend to had 15. Rock Star Supernova, whatever that was. The show ired in 2006 and Ryan was eliminated. Having not been poisoned by seeing that, this album was pretty good stuff. My highest rated of the month so far. Produced by Matt Serletick of Coldplay/Matchbox 20 fame, this could very well be a hit. Some commerical tracks that are bound to get some video rotation, with a splash of alternative here and there. Nothing I can say was really bad and a couple of near great tracks. Metal band background but has moved on from that as a solo artist with this third album, with the 2 previous ones getting high praise from the critics. Nothing bad here for me and a few I liked. Almost gave Heartbreak Hotel a complete thumbs down, but even it has to get a bump for originality. The album barely squeaks by for a LIKE grade. Not many clips available. Live ones out there for most of these tracks, but very poor quality.
