Going a bit commercial today - Toto - Greatest Hits. Faves are 'Child's Anthem', 'Rosanna' & 'Africa'. And playing it really loud. The neighbours will be around soon no doubt.

And after that it's going to be The Who - Live at Leeds - the all new super-duper deluxified version.

Always been a big fan of this album and Mr Phillips is just incredible in this video. All potential drummers - this is what you are up against.

Glad you approve, Lloyd.
They're certainly pretty unique...

David Bowie - Lodger
As mentioned recently by Crazy Horse, I believe. Thoroughly enjoyable weirdness from Mr B.
Kate Bush - The Hounds of Love
The delectable Miss Bush's finest musical hour in my view. Got a full body tingle during The Ninth Wave when she realises that the girl under the ice in her dream is herself. That works well beside a beautiful pool in Turkey in 80 degree F sunshine !!

The Enid - Aerie Faerie Nonsense
And once more for good measure...

Immensely enjoyable Country-Rock from conjoined twins of The Eagles.
I first heard the song Rose of Cimarron on UK pirate station Radio Caroline over 30 years ago, and fell in love with it. I've finally got around to buying a career retrospective after all that time. Patience is a virtue, apparently.
Excellent compilation.

I think I have 1 Poco album, and they are worth more than that. Just never made the plunge.

Tiggi, my piece on 'lodger' is page 111 of the 'alternative' 'what are you listening to' section. i'd like to know what you think of what i wrote and if you agree with the 1.9 rating i gave it.

Doesn't get much better than most of this for me. Under the phones and I'm in another zone. What a range Roy had, and never faltered at either end of it. Each song, just waiting for him to hit that note that marvels. The best of the Monument years for this compilation. Liner notes don't give you much, but this was 1972. Compilations didn't do that much back then. Loving 11 out of the 20 tracks, and only 1 bomb of Working For The Man. Just don't seem very "Roy". Very tough picking a favorite with about 5 contenders. I think Crying does it for me, sometimes literally, mood considered. Most of these live clips are from the same gig. Not sure what/when it is. TV taping maybe. They are black & white but not nearly as old as that would indicate. Excellent gig and check out the guest appearances on Candy Man, awesome! Not sure how old Roy was here, but he was no young puppy, and the voice was still there.
I LOVE THIS ALBUM
Worst Track - Working For The Man
Best Track - Crying
I was all right for a while, I could smile for a while
But I saw you last night, you held my hand so tight
As you stopped to say "Hello"
Aww you wished me well, you couldn't tell
That I'd been cry-i-i-i-ng over you, cry-i-i-i-ng over you
Then you said "so long". left me standing all alone
Alone and crying, crying, crying cry-i-ing
It's hard to understand but the touch of your hand
Can start me crying
I thought that I was over you but it's tru-ue, so true
I love you even more than I did before but darling what can I do-o-o-o
For you don't love me and I'll always be
Cry-i-i-i-ng over you, cry-i-i-i-ng over you
Yes, now you're gone and from this moment on
I'll be crying, crying, crying, cry-i-i-ing
Yeah crying, crying, o-o-o-o-ver you
