Johnny Cash to join Gospel Music Hall of Fame
The late Johnny Cash is to be inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame, following in the footsteps of Elvis Presley and Pat Boone.
Cash, who died in 2003 at the age of 71, was brought up with gospel music and famously turned to religion as he tried to beat drug addiction.
DeGarmo and Key, the Golden Gate Quartet and Bill "Hoss" Allen will also join the hall of fame this year.
They will be inducted on 24 January in Hendersonville, Tennessee.
More than 150 members, including Let's Stay Together singer Al Green and Amazing Grace composer John Newton, have been inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame since its foundation in 1971.
In 1980, Cash was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame while, in 1992, he became a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Nice to be able to go back to trust and friendship!!!!!!!!!
It's a mixed up sensation this being alive
Oh! it wears a man down into the ground
It's the strangest elation
I can't describe it
Oh it leaves a man weary
It makes a man frown..............................Chris Simpson ( "Mixed Up Sensations" 1975 Martin's Cafe )
