listened to them
Didn't care for the Bad Boy but Dizzy is pretty close to the Beatles version.
Liked the dance clip in that one to, assuming they are dancing to that song, lol.
Wonder what show that is from.

Thanks
never would have bothered without your prompting

A collection of unreleased material from 1985.

Originally recorded in 1969, this was intended for their fourth Verve album, but they were dropped by the label, and it was shelved and forgotten.

Not their absolute best, but very good nevertheless.

Pauls fourth album after the breakup and the follow up to the hugely successful Band On The Run. Hard to top that one for me. Of course, it is McCartney, so the album did top the charts along with the single of Listen To What The Man Said. Paul rounded out the 3 piece band for Band On The Run with the addition of Jimmy McCulloch and Geoff Britton, who quit shortly into the recording sessions, to be replaced by Joe English. The album was re-released in 1993 with 3 additional tracks which are not on my vinyl copy.

I LIKE THIS ALBUM

Worst Track - Crossroads Theme

Best Track - Treat Her Gently/Lonely Old People

Treat her gently, treat her kind, she doesn't even know her own mind
Treat her simply, take it slow, make it easy and let her know
You'll never find another way.
Here we sit, two lonely old people,
Eaking our lives away
Bit by bit two lonely old people
Keeping the time of day
Here we sit out of breath and nobody asked us to play
- Old People's Home for the day - nobody asked us to play
Treat her gently, treat her kind, she doesn't even know her own mind
Treat her simply, make it slow, take it easy and let her know
You'll never find another way

eyebrows raised up in surprise?!...'treat her gently/lonely old people'...best song on album!?, only surprised because most people i know who have the album dont rate that track, i however do rate it highly, i probably would have given a couple more '3' stars.
2.2/2.3 is about what i'd give it so were both on par with this one.

Their sixth and last one with Jim who passed in July. The album was released in April, but the group had already decided to end performing live, after Jim's on stage refusal to perform. Jim had moved to Paris. They did try to carry on without him, but that didn't last long. Some of this leaned more towards a bluesy approach which Morrisons voice carried well, but was lacking for me. Former producer Paul Rothchild wanted nothing to do with the project. A decent album but not sure it lives up to previous ones. The album reached #9 in the states and #28 in the U.K. Singles were Love Her madly at #11 and Riders On The Storm at #14.

Worst Track - Cars Hiss By My Window

Best Track - Riders On The Storm

Riders on the storm
Riders on the storm
Into this house we're born
Into this world we're thrown
Like a dog without a bone
An actor out alone
Riders on the storm

There's a killer on the road
His brain is squirmin' like a toad
Take a long holiday
Let your children play
If ya give this man a ride
Sweet family will die
Killer on the road, yeah

Girl ya gotta love your man
Girl ya gotta love your man
Take him by the hand
Make him understand
The world on you depends
Our life will never end
Gotta love your man, yeah

Wow!

Riders on the storm

Into this house we're born
Into this world we're thrown
Like a dog without a bone
An actor out alone

^ There's definitely something about LA Woman that I really like.

Have you heard American Prayer ?? I've always quite liked the idea of it, but the reviews are uniformly dire so I've never tried it.

I'd be interested in your opinion if you've heard it...
