I hope I'm posting in the right place. This is what I'm listening to today. Can somebody tell me how to get the images a little bigger. I'm not very computer savvy and I can't figure it out. Smile

JIM STEINMAN "bad for good" 1981, vinyl. #63 US, #7 UK, #5 Aust.

apparently....so legend has it...Meatloaf's voice was shattered after performing Bat Out Of Hell for three years and Steinman wanted to get these tracks out ASAP, so he decided to record them himself.
Jim's vocals are not as strong as Meatloaf's, and he doesnt have the range of vocal capability that Meat has, never-the-less, i find this to be a fine theatrical/epic album with some great Steinman moments, musically, it is more in tune with Meatloaf's "deadringer" set than "bat out of hell",due mainly to the heavier guitar sound.
over the years Meatloaf has recorded some of these songs on his own albums, but unfortunately for Jim, the Meat's are best.
All-Music gave this 2.5/5,which equates to 1.5 on our rating scale, which IMO is a bit harsh.
im not sure about the tracklisting in other countries, but here in Australia "rock and roll dreams come through" was issued with the album as a bonus 'ep' with a track called "the storm".

worst track: dance in my pants
best track: lost boys and golden girls

yeh, it is quite good, as i said not much wrong with it other than Jim's vocals arent as good as the Loaf.

do you have Meat's "deadringer" set?

Hi Tracy,

I'd say this is the right place for the Kinks, but there's always plenty of debate over what should go where...

Here's how I capture images:

- I use Amazon, but where they don't have the required image, a Google Image search will do.
- Find the album image you're looking for, then click on the image to enlarge it.
- Right-click the image, and select properties. The dimensions (on Amazon) should now be 300 x 300 pixels.
- If not using Amazon, finding a 300 x 300 pixel image will do the same job.
- Copy the URL from the properties page.
- On MD click the "Insert Image" button, then select the "From URL" tab.
- Paste the image URL into the "URL" box, then click on the tick adjacent to the text "Retrieve remote file and reference locally" to remove the tick.
- Click "Insert Image".
- Job done.

I suspect this is exactly what you've been doing, but that your images haven't been 300 x 300.

Give it a try & report back.

Yep that's exactly what I've been doing but from Google, maybe I'll look for my images on Amazon.

If you're using Google, it should still work. If you're copying the URLs from Google images as they are on the page, they're usually smaller thumbnails of say 116 x 116 pixels. Hovering your mouse pointer over these will indicate the full size of the image. Find one that's about 300 x 300, then click on it to open the image to full size, then right click to display Properties, and then copy the URL.
