from my library (vinyl)
Please Lord, let this be the only one I own. Seriously! people actually like this? A nice album to begin my leave of absence on I guess. Certainly won't be humming any of these tunes on the flight. One of the few ep's I own, 8 tracks clocking in at around 15 minutes. No idea why it was ever purchased, shock value I guess. You can have it.
I DO NOT LIKE THIS ALBUM

James Blake - James Blake
Not my usual sort of thing but it's really grown on me - could it be that I like dubstep now?

^ I decided that wasn't for me, but I really like the Wilhelm Scream song.

The Vaccines - What did you expect from the the Vaccines
I didn't really have any expectations but what I got was a Ramones sound-a-like

Good fun, this one...
Californian band's 1990 debut. They took Led Zeppelin songs (with the occasional snippet of Elvis), and turned them into Reggae-Rock versions sung by an Elvis impersonator. Shouldn't work, but it definitely does.
Saw them live back in the day, and they really could play.
AllMusic 4/5 stars.

Seventh release, from 2000.
Primal Scream wick up the intensity a little on this one, and come up with a shiny Industrial-Dance-Krautrock-Dystopian-Sci-Fi-Alt Rock album.
Vocals are scant, and the album relies on some wonderful grooves. In case Mr/Mrs Hawkwind from Canada reads this, you should try this, I think you might like it...
I like this album much, much more than I realised...
AllMusic 4+/5 stars.

I've just lbeen listening to the song MBV Arkestra (If They Move Kill 'Em) and it is brilliant. Without looking at the title I thought I must have a Sun Ra remix queued up in my player that I forgot about. I recommend it if you have enjoyed the Arkestra.
Thanks Tiggi.

REM "collapse into now"
had the displeasure of listening to this on a colleague's ipod at work today,
as much as i respect Stipe/Buck as writers and intelligent interviewees, i do not like this album, its bland and goes nowhere lyrically or musically...stick to their early classics and their best of set
4/10 or 1.2 on Music Head's scale

^^^ I keep hearing not-so-good things about it. I haven't downloaded it yet, I may still. I really do love R.E.M. but maybe it's not worth the disappointment.
