Will be interesting to compare these with CH's. Haven't looked yet. Another album that surprised me. Not sure how many years since I've spun this. Didn't think it would reach a love rank, yet I was proven wrong. How does this happen? I think what it has to do with developing a deeper appreciation for these old farts that made their mark on music. Neil certainly did that. I jst didn't think Neil with horns would work, but he makes it happen.Takes his jabs at corporate america, the title track blasting corporate sponsorship of music. Neil always had something to bitch about. That's why I love him I guess, politics aside. Four tracks I love here with Hey Hey taking the top and nothing I don't like. That Hey Hey is not My My Hey Hey or Hey Hey My My, but just Hey Hey. Got it? my my. Video for the title track won MTV's best of the year. Album was originally credited to Neil Young & The Bluenotes. Lawsuit was filed by Harold Melvin, so they had to drop the Bluenotes thing. Guess corporate america won that one. The album reached #61 on the U.S. charts.
Sure not many clips available for this and the live ones are pretty bad. Sorry.
I LOVE THIS ALBUM
