I just want to shout out to the whole world I’ve got big, big love for the world famous mother monster Lady Gaga! She’s simply fabulous and she inspires me a lot coz I love to sing too! I found this fan page where I met other little monsters like me who share the same gaga-singing passion

I hope this starts a debate ! IMHO, Stefanie Germanotta is an intelligent person with talent abound. Her rise to the top of the pop music world is no different than that of Madonna. Both superstars used visual arts, sex, shock value and downright absurdity to heighten their fame and universal popularity. However they both were/are (not sure if Madonna is on the decline or not) very intelligent, interesting , provocative, controversial and business savy smart women.

Gaga composes music, plays instruments and is very approachable and down to earth as I witnessed in a hour long interview recently. She appears to be just skimming the surface and has a lot of ideas and music to come.

She hasn't gone "off the rails" yet like Winehouse...no comparison between the two anyway IMO. If she sat on stage with a piano or guitar and sang her songs straight, how far would she go ?..and how boring would it be ? There are hundreds of female/piano/guitar singers that eventually sound the same and frankly sound bland and boring. The music industry is saturated beyond belief with them.

Obviously one has to see GaGa , live in person to probably appreciate her talent at its' zenith. She is at her prime as a visual performer. I think what Madonna and Lady GaGa did/do is "Modern Italian Opera" both are of Italian descent.
I am finding that to be the case recently as I stated in a previous thread...studio recordings do nothing for me for the most part unless the artist is extremely talented.....i.e. - The Beatles, David Bowie, Pink Floyd, Bob Dylan, and a few more.

There has always been and always will be someone who comes along to shake the cobwebs off the music scene. The Beatles did it....oh thank GOd !!!!, The Sex Pistols did it, The Clash did it,etc... and now Lady GaGa is doing it !!!!!!...whether we approve or not !!!!!

This comment of enlightenment .....and probably clarifies your point Gryph, just got some dirt from my wife on Gaga ! She will be or may be sued for a charity concert in Japan whereby she pocketed 5.5 million dollars.

Rumours abound she is or was near bankruptcy with her lavish spending habits.

Now where do I go ????? She is not business smart if this is true...I vehemently retract that statement for certain. Expenditures of her outlandish getups, concert presentations, etc. may have got her in a hole financially. My good wife is into Entertainment News more than I !!!! HELP !!!! I'm an IDIOT !!!!! I have an idea for a new thread !!!!
