1) the Lennon/McCartney songs that Ringo sang in the band sound more like Paul songs than John's....were they Paul songs?
2) i read somewhere years ago that Paul had a hand in writing Scaffold's hit singles as his brother Mike (mike McGear) was in the band???
3) the Elvis camp has always denied this,but...is anyone aware of any recordings of a "jam" between Elvis and the Beatles when they met?

Boys is a cover version
I Wanna Be Your Man A John song
Matchbox A cover
Honey Don't ..............Interesting originally this was John's cover vocal and a BBC version exists then it was passed to Ringo .
Act Naturally ..............A Cover ( In place of "If You Got Trouble" which was axed )
What Goes On .............This is a Lennon/McCartney/Starkey song .........I know that Ringo did his bit on the chorus !
Yellow Submarine A Paul song
With A Little Help From My Friends ............I believe this was written by both for Ringo
Don't Pass Me By...............This is interesting ..........it apears on the White Album in 1968 and yet the lyrics are quoted in a 1964 BBC program..................with Paul guiding Ringo...........I think Ringo was tutored by Paul on this one.
Goodnight .............A John song written for Julian and there is a bootleg version with John on lead ( Maybe its a guide vocal !)
Octopuses' Garden ........This is a George and Ringo song as can be seen from the Let It Be movie where George is helping Ringo write it.....
If You've Got Troubles ..............This is a Paul song ( Not that strong at that ) but given to Ringo to try and Make something of it .......
Taking a Trip To Carolina ..............This is only a part of a song on Let It Be Naked.........Now at about this time James Taylor wrote............."In My Mind I'm Going to Carolina" .........I guess Ringo had some connection..........
It Don't Come Easy................This is also written in Beatle times and has a duel credit either Starkey or Harrison and there is a Bootleg of George performing it ..............if you listen carefully it is very George like with Harri Krishna etc!
2) There is only circumstantial evidence here I have read that Paul did help a bit but that is unconfirmed.
3) The Beatles themselves are confused here especially in the Anthology video they all agree that they went to meet Elvis ............That is a fact.. Then George confesses that there was plenty of Ref-fa about ....so I guess they don't remember that well ............The legend goes that when they were with Elvis , he had a bass plugged into a Fender amp and that someone jammed with him.
Nice to be able to go back to trust and friendship!!!!!!!!!
It's a mixed up sensation this being alive
Oh! it wears a man down into the ground
It's the strangest elation
I can't describe it
Oh it leaves a man weary
It makes a man frown..............................Chris Simpson ( "Mixed Up Sensations" 1975 Martin's Cafe )

Phenominal post Gryphon! You amaze me with your thorough understanding of all things Beatles.
BTW great questions Crazy-Horse to get this thread started.
