had a quiet one yesterday getting over the jetlag thing so dug out several cds to play and discuss...the reviews are coming with both our ratings in the same posting!!
MH son-in-law took me out to see the historical sights today in the local area...also had a local Kentucky Ale for Jerome for lunch, sorry Jerome bur the pizza slice i bought you ro go with the beer got eaten...i had planned on saving it for you!
listened to half a dozen vinyls today also and got some idea of the order of our tour visits...

Day 2 has passed, in which CRAZY-HORSE got his oats.
In the form of barley in that brew.
Jerome, I didn't get any of that pizza either
After about 15 different albums, finally got Lloyd to say one he really liked:
Ian Hunters All American Alien Boy. Now if I could only find Ian's debut to play for him.
I feel like a pusher.

ok guys and gals...
time for another update, spent most of my time here at the moment picking out and listening to albums i either do not own and/or have never heard before in their entirety whilst adjusting my sleep patterns. been waking up anytime between 4 and 6.30am, dozer off several times also!
but tomorrow its all about to change as MH and I are off on the first leg of our tour...up through Cincinatti and on to Cleveland near Lake Eerie on the Canadian border where we intend visiting a couple of MH's relatives and going to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, which is a seven storey building dedicatd to R&R!...we are both pretty excited to go this route and should be back at Hotel Paint Lick on friday afternoon sometime.

After the release of the Horse-Head debut album of 2010, the groups first 'world tour' has finally hit the road, destinations are both known and unknown. If fans missed that album they will have to wait another nine years for the re-release limited edition prints of one million copies of "After The Head Rush". The band has complete control over recorded material on their own label, Erect Records!!
ok...
We drove through Kentucky and Ohio on wednesday stopping at members of the MH fan club(relatives) along the way. We reached the outskirts of Cleveland early evening and and booked ourselves into a luxury "***"motel. Legions of groupies awaited the arrival and needless to say, it was a very tiring evening. The following morning we met up with and had business discussions with another of the Horse-Head fan club over breakfast, who offered to take us to the R&R Hall of Fame and give us a quick tour of Cleveland.
Admission price for the R&R-H of F was $22 per person and was well worth the price....seven floors of memorabillia from the earliest blues days right through and including Lady Gaga and Hip-Hop. The current feature attraction was "women of rock".
its impossible to name one or two standout exhibits as each in their own way were awesome but it was great to see Beatle "sgt.pepper" outfits, hand written Beatle lyric sheets and John/George mid 60s guitars on display.
Elvis' 1970s jumpsuits were also on display as was his bass guitar (unknown to me he was apparently quite a profficient bassist??)
One of the highlights for me was the Johnny Cash Touring Bus which we could wander through in groups of no more than four people.
As we were outside waiting MH had a celebrity sighting. Noticing a group of what appeared to be musicians with bodyguards present. as we couldnt figure out who they quite were i decided ro make my prescence known and low and behold they were the New York Dolls doing a private tour of the facilities, unfortunately for either of us they were unwilling to pose for a photo with us?????
After a short walk to view Lake Eerie from its shore we retreated to the Cleveland Hard Rock Cafe for a well deserved bite to eat before our driveby tour of other sites in Cleveland.
Back to the motel for rest before the sold out performance that evening at Clevelands football stadium. The band delivered a flawless display of all of the soon to be classics from the debut album. The only miscue was the stage dives by both HORSE and HEAD, in which fans failed to perform to expectations by dropping their arms at an unexpected time. Bruises will heal.
The following day(friday) MH and i shared the driving back to Kentucky for a weekend of rest prior to the Southern leg of our World Tour!
