I have 'Rupi's Dance' by Mr Anderson as well. But I have not heard 'The Secret Language of Birds' - any comments on this one?

![]() My own copy on shiny silver disc. Despite being perhaps the closest to her Fleetwood Mac work, this 2011 album was produced by ex-Eurythmic Dave Stewart, and he's no Lindsay Buckingham. So this comes across as a bit of an imitation of the classic Mac sound, with a few touches that Buckingham wouldn't have considered using. Not perfect, but very good... AllMusic 4/5 stars.

![]() On the laptop. Swedish metallers' seventh album, released in 2003. On SteveO's recommendation I tried out an Opeth album a while back, and was put off by grunty growly vocals. Steve urged me to persevere, and try this one in particular. This is much better for me, as there aren't any grunty growls, plus the music certainly isn't Metal. It's a rather acoustic affair, but certainly not solely, and since Steven Wilson - of Porcupine Tree fame - produced this, it's no surprise that it has a bit of a PT sound about it. Good album, onto the Buy List. Cheers, Steve... AllMusic 4/5 stars.
