Their first live album, from 1979.

Breathless live set, with 28 songs in 53 minutes, and barely a pause between any of the songs.

Not brilliantly recorded, but this album does capture the force of nature that was the Ramones, during their peak period.

Hey Ho, Let's Go...

AllMusic 4/5 stars.

On the laptop.

Kristin live, released in 2010.

This is a set of songs from throughout her career (mostly solo, but also Throwing Muses material).

Stark and intimate, featuring just her voice & guitar. I'm a big fan, but this didn't move me. Perhaps the laptop is the wrong playback system for such simple music ?!

May return to this one...

XTC - ENGLISH SETTLEMENT (1982)...... as recommended by Music Head !

Very good album this ! I love the way each song is adjoined to the other ! The album is uptempo for the most part and very enjoyable to listen to !

This band disbanded in 2001 so I was wondering if there are any other bands around now with a similar sound ?

My Rating - 4/5 .... AllMusic - 4/5

I can't think of any obvious XTC soundalikes. Will have to consider this one...

On the laptop.

2011 release from long-running American band.

Started out as a hardcore Punk band and have shifted styles over the years before settling into an Alt-Country outfit, with faint tinges of Grunge.

Very good album.

It's actually a super group of sorts. Almost like a mash up. It's extraordinary, really. Sometimes Deerhunter shows up, and it's just bliss.
