i love The Police, never made a bad album IMO....but they were part of "my generation" so there you go,i guess.

and as i said before his first decade of solo material wasnt bad..."dream of the blue turtles" is his greatest ever work IMO.

One of the pioneering masterpieces of the greatest genre known to man; post-punk

I also just finished "My War" by Black Flag. Awesome album, I can't understand the hate. It embobies the feeling of hate, anger, paranoia, confusion, and isolation felt by people like me

On the laptop.

Second collaboration between ex-Screaming Tree, and ex-Belle & Sebastian vocalists, from 2008.

Lanegan's voice is similar to Leonard Cohen's here, and contrasts nicely with Campbell's airy one...

The songs are Americana, of assorted types, and the whole is a very engaging piece of work.

The Buy List grows longer...

My husband keeps putting this on, it has grown on me. But I like the Shins so it wasn't a giant leap.

^^ I like pretty much everything Ween have released. Notorious genre-hoppers, with a real knack for good song-writing. The Mollusk was my introduction to them, and it's definitely worth checking out, SteveO...

My own copy on shiny silver disc.

Their second album, from 1988.

As reviewed recently. Sounds much better in glorious technicolour !!

Mrs Tiggi didn't like it much...

i-Pod listening in the garden this PM.

Eponymous debut from some of Manchester's finest, released in 1984.

A truly original, and great band. Some of their records were slightly patchy, but this one certainly isn't. Excellently played, sung, & written.

This must stand as one of the great debuts.

I love The Smiths, but always find they're better than I expect (if that makes any sense ?!).

Great album.
