One of the key players in Dubstep. The blueprint for this can be found in Blue Lines (^), although there isn't much similarity in sound, it's more the mood...
The Soul of Blue Lines has been replaced with a more alienated mood, and there's a colder sense of menace on this one. But, the impression of a city by night is clearly felt on both albums.
Buy List dead cert...
AllMusic 4/5 stars.
Hard copy this time. The above captures pretty much what I think.
Good album.

Funny you mention Depeche Mode...my metal friend Holly can only play DM while the CD shop is open for business as far as "metal" goes !!!...lol It's darkish so she finds it's the only thing next to mainstream she can play and get away with it with the manager !

London DJ's debut from 2011.
Decided a few weeks ago to explore some more Dubstep, as the two Burial albums have made quite an impression. This one gets plenty of mentions from the cognoscenti, so it had to be ordered.
Much more approachable than Burial's albums, and features a much more flamboyant musical pallette. This means it lacks something of the atmosphere of the Burials, but is no less enjoyable for that.
Quality Electronica...
