First off, not a big fan of the whole "American Idol/XFactor" nonsense, but, I think she's smokin hot, and a very good singer. I love her records(the first one, not so much). Anyways, what are your thoughts on her?

i dismiss ALL Idol/X Factor entrants for the simple reason that they will never "pay their dues" in the music industry ie: working for years in grotty, smelly, dirty sh#tholes of bars and clubs and/or sweating it out night after night for little pay to hone their skills and master the art of performing....maybe im old fashioned, but its these things that make a truly great artist!
that said, i bought Kelly's latest album after reading the "new release" review by Music Head here on MD and was pleasantly surprised by it. nothing se has done previously has grabbed me, buy i feel she has matured into a fine singer over the last decade and has a long career ahead of her at this rate.

Was pleasantly surprised by the new Kelly album
Maybe with a push from the single, which I love Do not have it, but probably will at some point As far as the talent shows, since we went there. More annoyed by the format, the judges, the hosts, than the participants Don't think it's right to write off talent, simply by the way it was discovered.

Music Head Wrote:Was pleasantly surprised by the new Kelly album just re-read my comments...what i really meant to say was.. in ten, twenty years time when all these talent show stars write their bios, there aint gonna be any stories of working in dingy little sweaty clubs etc to hit the big time, its just going to start off "i entered a reality tv show and became a star"....no interesting story on their rise up.

I think my honest thoughts may offend. Suffice to say I'd be speaking as a woman, musician and an appreciator of music and some of the language would be 'post watershed'.
Listen to the wind blow,
Watch the sun rise,
Runnin' in the shadows.
Damn your love, Damn your lies,
