yes that is a difficult question how does one define classical..because some very early traditional world music goes back for centuries ..and on the other hand there is new orchestral music being written to this very day.. so how do we define classical.. by age .. by instrumental content or by style of arrangement or composition?

Well there have been a number of rock albums that fused with classical music for instance .Concerto for group and orchestra by deep purple (John lord was a trained classical pianist)...and Days of future passed by the Moody Blues ...
