I pretty much liked the first one overall - Are You Experienced ?... but they all have their merits.

none...not a fan of Hendrix at all!!!!!

It isnt very far away, it takes about a half a day , if we travell there by Dragonfly.....

^ that, without question

a lot of people rag on it simply for the fact that the production is a bit shoddy. I guess since my ears are used to music with god awful sound quality (which "Axis..." wouldn't even qualify as) it doesn't bother me. The jazzy feel throughout really shows that Jimi had it in him to be more than just a talented bluesman, he was a musical guru

Story in wiki has it that Hendrix forgot the master tapes for Side A in a taxi and never found them again ! Therefore they had to scramble to record Side A all over again....may be a reason some say "shoddy" production ?
