This is the sixth studio album from the Italian goth alternative rock group Lacuna Coil. From all accounts it's their biggest selling album to date with substantial sales from Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom. Cristina Scabbia's impeccable vocals along with those of Andrea Ferro are the highlight of this album.
Lacuna Coil is one of those goth metal bands in the same stable as Evanescence, Nightwish, Epica, Within Temptation and so on. Their music is more rock than goth metal. The brilliant vocals from Cristina prohibits this music as being identified as genuine gothic. Her vocals are in line with those of Amy Lee and other female lead vocalists in the goth metal vein.
A good listen if you're already an Evanescence fan.
