Rick Wright - Wet Dream. Quite like this overall but nothing in particular stands out for me. Waves is probably my favourite track purely because of the sound of the sax.

Not their best, but in a mood for it tonight for whatever reason. Still great stuff. Love these guys/this guy since he kicks everyone out after every album. <_<

BON JOVI "crossroad-the best of" cd,1994 #8 US, #1 UK, #1 AU.

woo-hoo!
finally picked up a good one after a couple of weeks of average albums IMO....
best of set by Jon and the boys, look you all know the songs, you either like 'em or loathe them,
me, i used to loathe these guys back in the day, found a new respect for them some years ago after seeing an interview with Jon Bon Jovi...real intelligent down to earth guy IMO, which made me go back and look at what they had done...forget the crappy eighties big hair days and the stupid eye-liner,lipstick etc these guys used to wear, because they actually were a decent rock band and obviously still are, didnt quite come in as high as i thought it might, but a very good score nonetheless...
could have picked three or four as best track here, but decided on the rock ballad "always" this time round
not posting links here today as we all know the hits of Bon Jovi....

70's rock band that never hit the big time, after after six albums they called it quits in 1979. First two albums
were on A&M and marketing was to blame they say. Then the big break came. The movie The Getaway with Steve McQueen,
used some of the bands music, without approval. Ding-ding-ding!!!. The resulting lawsuit netted enough to start
Beserkley Records. Screw this dealing with label execs. This is back when I was into labels. I knew Beserkley had
Jonathan Richman, who I love, so I picked this up. No Jonathan Richman here, but some passable rock at the time.
This is the bands fourth album, nothing great and a couple of duds. Single of Hit The Floor bombed and the album
reached #151.
