SPOON "ga ga ga ga ga" cd,2007

supposedly a modern punk outift....
no punk here,well, not by the definition would call punk anyway!...and if Johnny Rotten was dead im sure he'd be rolling in his grave!
sounds more like "indi/alternative pop" to me...
some ok lyrics and vocals, music is not too bad in parts and actually scored higher than i thought it would but not anywhere near as high as the converted 2.7 from the "allmusic idiots!"
two singles off here(tracks 4 and 7) but neither made the US charts, the album did however make the US top10???go figure.
although this makes the passing grade,allbeit only just, i cannot reccomend this to anyone...and with a name like Spoon and a title like "ga ga ga ga ga"...you'd really expect no less!

(God knows why but....) I LIKE THIS ALBUM

^ I really enjoyed the Paul Weller and what a great band ! I thought I would never say it but Weller has been releasing more enjoyable material than that of Macca's Crazy !!!! IMHO Sonic Kicks is a keeper! Very good melodic rock!

look, cant knock the guy from trying to break his true and trusted mould every now and then...like Neil Young...sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt

Have to agree about the title. Think it's just a ploy, so when someone googles Lady Ga Ga, they are bound to come across this outfit.

i would agree with you Jerome but this one came out in 2007, prior to Lady Gaga and apparently the band have been around since the late 1990s???
