im not a real big Genesis fan but Dani is....i do love Mike And The Mechanics albums though, and a couple of Phil's solo albums...
getting back to the term "solo" albums....i agree, the term is always used way too freely, not sure who you would say has made real "solo albums"(as in producing, playing all instruments, writing etc) other than McCartney,Stevie Wonder,Mike Oldfield,Gotye, but i guess there must be others who have....

NICKELBACK "all the right reasons" cd,2005.
Chad Kroger and Co.'s fifth album, and by far their biggest selling one to date....sold something like 7 million copies worldwide, spent over two years in the US charts, spawned no less than five major hits...
i previously said on another post for one of their albums that i didnt like them...well, this one makes me out to be a liar as i do like this one!
typical Nickelback formula here...pretty much a lack of substance in the lyrics, simplistic guitar work and overall nothing to get your teeth into, but that said, still a good piece of modern rock and roll, which often borders on being heavy and grungelike!
if youre going to buy a Nickelback album, make it this one...the rest suck(famous last words!) or alternatively, wait for a 'best of' set, which shouldnt be too far away IMO.

I have a solo album by Tony Banks (keyboard player with Genesis) called 'A Curious Feeling' which is a lot like old school Genesis if anyone is into that sort of thing. I think it's a great album. It almost sounds like the 'lost' Genesis album. Worth a listen if you are a 70's Genesis fan.

I find that the band Marillion is a lot like the 70s Genesis....having said that I like the band.

from my library (vinyl)
Far from their best work. In fact it may be their worst, at least of what I have. Think I even skipped the next few.
Mike Pinder replaced by Patrick Moraz, which does nothing for me. Missing the beautiful orchestral work they are
known for. This is the groups eleventh album. Holds a distinction of being the first compact disc manufactured
worldwide. Three singles released of which Sitting At The Wheel reached the highest at #27, with the album a weak
#26. Nothing I love on here which may be a first for a Moodies album. Highlight for me is the Ray Thomas vocals.
Always liked his the best. Also noticed the absence of Ray's flute work on here. So much missing as compared to
their previous albums. I think I felt cheated when I purchased this one.
