What Are You Listening To?
from my library (vinyl)

Only one I have I think. Pretty decent hair band. Deep Purples David Coverdale makes that so. After Purple
David recorded a couple of solo albums before forming Whitesnake in 1977. Five albums later for this debut
on the newly formed Geffen label. Guess they needed a metal act. A mix of rockers and those power ballads.
One of those the only thing getting a love mark with Crying In The Rain. That plus Here I Go Again were
re-recorded and released on a later album. Guess they didn't like the originals. A couple that bombed out
due to stupid lyrics. I did get to bang my head a little bit. Another band that was bigger in the UK than
here, with this album reaching #9 there and not even charting here. I think the market was over saturated
with this type of music at the time and there was only so much we could take.

A new single that Hollywood Undead dropped from their new album, Notes From The Underground. The new album wont drop till January but "We Are" sounds a lot like their last album "American Tragedy". Some peeps at the fan sites said that last album was too commercial but i dont think that. I cant wait to hear the new album!

MARILYN MANSON "mechanical animals" cd.

what do you get when you cross the glam rock of Bowie/T-Rex and introduce industrial metal?....the answer is Marilyn Manson.
each member of the group bares the name of a model and serial killer...and that also describes their image/music to a tee.
im not too keen on this one, got it on the strength of their brilliant yet controversial single "i dont like the drugs(but the drugs like me), cant believe this caused such an uproar when it came it, but it added to the hype and sales skyrocketed...
the album isnt really as heavy musically as their other albums, infact its a bit more melodic( i prefer the heavy manson), this one also isnt anywhere near as good as my other album by them called "the golden age of grotesque" which i absolutely love...
nevertheless, not a bad piece of work overall..
